Savannah Mifsud Leads the Charge in Squeaker Squadron Race #2

Western Pigeon Federation | Rupanyup | 20th July 2025

The skies above Rupanyup were alive with anticipation as the second race of the Squeaker Squadron series took flight on Sunday, 20th July 2025. With a growing field of young flyers and a total of 3,255 birds released, this race was a showcase of emerging talent, family pride, and the thrilling spirit of pigeon racing.

🚀 A Star Performance from Savannah Mifsud

Taking out first place in commanding fashion was Savannah Mifsud, whose bird clocked an impressive 1,427 metres per minute. Savannah’s feathered athlete crossed the finish line a full 1 minute and 43 seconds ahead of the next competitor—an extraordinary margin in a field this competitive. Her performance not only secured the top spot but also set a high bar for the rest of the season.

🌟 Rising Talent: Jeziah’s Ghori Breakout Race

Hot on Savannah’s tail was Jeziah, a first-year flyer with the Western Pigeon Federation (WPF). With a velocity of 1,411 metres per minute, Jeziah’s bird finished just 1 minute behind the leader. His debut in the Squeaker Squadron has already turned heads, and he is quickly becoming one to watch in the weeks ahead.

👏 Sister Act: Natalie Mifsud Takes Third

Rounding out the podium was Natalie Mifsud, Savannah’s older sister, who finished 2 minutes behind her younger sibling. With a strong flight and a velocity that placed her 42 metres per minute ahead of their grandfather, Ray Mifsud, Natalie proved that pigeon racing talent runs deep in the family. The Mifsud sisters are clearly on a mission to carry on their family’s legacy—and perhaps even outfly it.
