The Board of Management would like to offer their sincere  condolences the Warnecke Family on the passing of Rex Warnecke.

Rex joined the Western Pigeon Federation through the Werribee Homing Club in the late 1970’s and quickly made his mark winning the club averages on more than one occasion.

His most noted result was in 1979 when he placed 2nd Federation in both the 500 and 600 mile races.

The story go’s.  If it was not for nature calling (going to the toilet for no more than a few minutes) he may have won the 600mile race. Piped at the post by 0.5mpm.

Dad you were always Our Caring Wise & loving Father you leave a hole in our hearts that will never be filled love you Dad. Loved lots. Such a cost. Give me a coin. That won’t get tossed. Rest in peace Rexy”.
