IMPORTANT: Pigeon racing Vic has offered to fund transport costs for our 500-mile race
Pigeon Racing Victoria has proudly offered the WPF, VRPU, GMPF, VHA and VPO the opportunity for sponsorship by paying for our transport costs of the 500-mile race to be conducted as a combine and if successful, may provide the costs of the 600-mile race.
The advantages of the above offer are as follows:
- The transport costs of the 500-mile race are approximately $5,500.00 plus convoyer of $600 for three nights.
- If we accept the reduction in the above costs, it is envisaged that the WPF will not be required to register for GST and significantly reduce our compliance and costs.
- Your upfront transport costs will be reduced providing you savings.
Some board members have indicated the disadvantage as follows:
- Having a combined race at either 400; 500 or 600 miles results in a finishing line [East to West] of over 120 kilometres, and it’s unfair if a strong easterly or westerly wind which may disadvantage flyers who live on these flanks.
Pigeon Racing Victoria would love all federation to participate and call it the “PRV 500 Combine” on their Race Schedules and race results to reflect the sponsorship.
Given the board reached out at a special annual general meeting to confirm Greater Melbourne transport for the 400; 500 and 600 miles, we are asking if you would like to take advantage of this offer.
