Participants. 79 WPF flyers with 1859 birds & 12 GCHC flyers with 163 birds a total of 91 flyers and 2022 birds plus 43 VRPU flyers with 780 birds, grand total 134 flyers and 2802 birds.
Liberation. Due to clearing fog, all birds were released at 8.50am. The birds formed one group and left straight away.
Winds. There was little to no wind at the race point on release with patchy blue skies. The birds are expected to encounter south / south westerly winds on their journey home of between 5 – 15 km/hr.
Temperature. 9 degrees on liberation

Production of clocks will commence from 6pm with final clock readings no later than 7pm.
