Race. Kaniva 1.
Participants. 72 WPF flyers with 2196 birds, 10 GCHC flyers with 162 birds & 35 VRPU flyers with 796 birds a total of 117 flyers and 3154 birds.
Liberation. All birds were release together at 9.20am into low moving cloud cover of approximately 60 – 70% with blue skies breaking through above. The birds spiralled up and away in one group and cleared within 2 minutes.
Winds. On release the winds were, westerly between 25 – 30 km/hr at ground level. Winds are expected to remain westerly varying between 25 – 45 km between ground level up to 600m.
Temperature. 10 deg at the race point on liberation.
