Race. Rupanyup 4.
Participants. 82 WPF flyers with 3063 birds & 11 GCHC flyers with 192 birds a total of 93 flyers and 3255 birds including 17 Squeaker Squadron flyers with 85 pooled birds.
Liberation. Birds were release at 11.15am into clear skies. The birds formed one large group circling the race point 3 – 4 times before heading for home clearing the race point within 3 minutes.
Winds. On release the winds were, north easterly between 3 – 8 km/hr at ground level. Winds are expected to be between 15 – 25 km north / northwest between 100 and 600m along the journey home.
Temperature. 7 deg at the race point on liberation.
