2024.09.15 – Prize Money WPF Breeders Plate – Condoblin – 570 klm

Congratulations to All the Winners of the 2024 WPF Breeders Plate!

The 2024 WPF Breeders Plate in Condobolin was an unforgettable event, showcasing exceptional performances from both the birds and their dedicated handlers. We extend a huge congratulations to the Vella Family Lofts, whose blue bar pied hen soared into the record books, claiming a remarkable $30,000 prize. Leading the race by an impressive 21 meters, this victory underscores the team’s commitment and skill.

Fierce Competition and Close Second

The competition was incredibly tight, with second place fiercely contested by eastern flyers Frank Velluto and Jake Smith, who were just decimals away from each other to secure second spot & victory. This exciting race reflects the high standard of competition in the WPF Breeders Plate, where only the best can take the top positions.

Liberation Report – WPF Breeders Plate 2024

This year’s WPF Breeders Plate saw the participation of 284 birds from 61 lofts, with liberation taking place at 7:20 am under clear blue skies. Released into light southerly winds, the birds flew off in a perfect group, disappearing from sight within a minute. Winds along the 570 km journey from Condobolin** were between 20-30 km/h, adding an extra layer of challenge and excitement for all participants.

A special thank you to the convoyer for ensuring the birds were well-prepared for the race. His hard work behind the scenes made the event a success—although, as he jokingly noted, the birds didn’t do a victory lap to show their gratitude!
