3rd Denilquin

In todays’ race from Deniliquin 27/07/2013,  1938  WPF birds competing from 62 lofts and 643 Geelong birds were released at 10am.  Conditions at the race point were clear and sunny with a light East to North Easterly wind. The birds left the race point in one group in just two minutes.

For the trip home the birds are expected to encounter North to North Easterly winds of between 15-25 km p/h.  Top temperature expected in Victoria today is 15 degrees.

Remember production of clocks is one and a half hours after clocking.

The birds were released from the WPF rooms at 1.55 pm.

Due to inclement weather over the entire weekend with cold winds predicted and heavy snowfalls, the birds are being returned back to the WPF main rooms and released if weather permits.  Updates will be posted when birds arrive in Melbourne.

20/07/2013:    IMPORTANT NEWS REGARDING TODAYS RACE FROM DENILIQUIN:

DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER AT DENILIQUIN, THE BIRDS ARE BEING BROUGHT BACK TO ROCHESTER.  UPON ARRIVAL A DECISION WILL BE MADE WHETHER OR NOT TO LIBERATE OR BRING THEM BACK HOME.  PLEASE INFORM OTHER MEMBERS WHO DO NOT OWN COMPUTERS. THANKYOU.

Deniliquin

In todays’ race from Deniliquin, 13/07/2013, 1603 WPF birds were released at 8.30 am. Conditions at the race point were overcast with broken cloud and a light Northerly wind. All birds left the race point in one group within five minutes.

For the trip home the birds are expected to encounter Easterly winds of between 10-20 km p/h turning North Easterly 15-25 km p/h in the late morning.  Rain expected late afternoon.  Top temperature expected in Melbourne today is 15 degrees.

3rd Rochester

In todays’ race from Rochester 06/07/2013, 1866  WPF birds competing from 61 lofts and 483 Geelong birds were released at 11am.  Conditions at the race point were overcast with a light North Westerly wind.  Within two minutes the birds had left the race point in one group.

For the journey home the birds are expected to encounter West to North Westerly winds of between 20 to 30 km p/h.  Top temperature expected in Victoria today is 14 degrees.
