DESCRIPTION:2026 WPF Transport Squeaker Fundraiser & Annual Registration Day \nGreat way to top up your race team or get a young stock bird.  Bidding starts at $20 \nDonors are asked to provide pedegrees. \nBirds from other organisation flyers will also be up for auction. \nThe purchaser will receive free entry into a draw for every purchase they make. \nFirst (1st) prize = 4 x Breeders Plate Rings for the 2023 season (values $200). \nSecond (2nd) prize = 2 x Breeders Plate rings for the 2023 season (value $100). \nThird (3rd) prize = 1 x Breeders Plate ring for the 2023 season (value $50). \nFriday 6 February 2026.   \nLocation: 27B Carrington Drive ALBION VIC 3020. \nPenning starts from 6.00pm. Auction starts around 7.30pm. \nBBQ from 7.00pm. \nAll WPF members are asked to donate two (2) squeakers to the sale to help raise money towards reducing rising transport costs in the 2025 season. Please provide Pedigrees. \nConditions: \n\nDonors will recieve 20% of the funds raised from the sale of each individual bird sold in excess of $50.\n\n[to entice members and donor to contribute quality birds with performance pedigrees].\n\n\nWPF members are encouraged to donate two (2) birds to the sale.\nFor members to be eligible for a discount their birds must be sold.\nWe are unable to accept pledges.\nWe can only accept squeakers rung with the current seasons ring year 2025 (no old birds).\nA member is only eligible for a discount from the funds raised at the sale if they have donated two (2) birds and both these birds are sold.\nMembers simply purchasing birds only are not eligible for a discount on transport in season 2026\, but go into a draw to win 2026 Breeders Plate rings.\nMembers will be given the opportunity to buy their own bird/birds back at the starting price if the birds are not sold at the sale.\nIf Birds do not sell & the owner does not wish to buy them back at the starting price\, then they will be ineligible to receive a discount on transport for their owner in season 2025.\nThe WPF is unable to take responsibility for any birds not sold.\nIt is the owner’s responsibility to arrange for all birds not sold to be removed from the WPF rooms that night.

DESCRIPTION:Tintinara is a town located in the Murray and Mallee region[3] of the South East of South Australia. \nThe town is situated on the Dukes Highway and the Adelaide-Melbourne railway line. It is in The Coorong District Council local government area\, the South Australian House of Assembly Electoral district of MacKillop and the Australian House of Representatives Division of Barker. At the 2016 Australian census\, the town and district had a population of 527.[4] \nThe origin of the name has been debated. One possibility is that a local Aboriginal man was named Tin-Tin\, and the ‘ara’ was appended to form the place name\, or that one of the Boothbys’ Aboriginal employees was named Tintinara.[5][6] Geoff Manning suggests that the name may have derived from an Aboriginal word\, tinlinyara\, the stars in Orion’s belt.[7] \n\nHistory\n\nThe area was first settled by Europeans in the 1840s when graziers moved their flocks of sheep into the district. Shortly afterwards the ‘Tintinara’ homestead was erected by the brothers T. W. Boothby and J. H. Boothby\, who held a lease of 165 sq.miles here. In 1865 the new owners\, William Harding and George Bunn\, built a 16-stand shearing shed which is now classified by the National Trust\, along with the homestead.[8] \nThe Tintinara wells and Reedy Wells were regular watering points for Tolmer‘s gold escort team. Tintinara post office was opened in the 1860s.[9] \nTintinara is situated in what was an unproductive region because of its poor sandy soils\, and low mallee scrub and heath vegetation. After clearing of some of this vegetation\, and the addition of trace elements\, the district has become a productive farming area.[9] One of the main environmental areas that Tintinara has is Lake Indawarra.[9] \n\nCommunity organisations\n\nTintinara Tennis Courts 2009 Grand Final\n\nGenerally\n\nTintinara has many different community organisations including the Tintinara Action Club and Tintinara Lions Club as well as many different facilities including: \n\nTintinara Cricket Club\nBorder Downs Tintinara Football & Netball Club\nTintinara Bowling Club\nTintinara Golf Club\nTintinara Tennis Club\n\n\nTintinara Tennis Club\n\nThe Tintinara Tennis Club was established in 1919 by Edward B. Northcott and Fanny and Tilly Williams. There were approximately 40 members when the club formed. The facilities consisted of two courts that were used for many years\, then in the summer of 1951–52 games started on four new courts.
