1st Ouyen Liberation

In today’s race from Ouyen, 01/09/2012,  1734 pigeons competing from 57 lofts and  520 Geelong pigeons, were released at 9.15 am.   Upon release all birds left the race point within five minutes, with no birds remaining.  At the race point there was 50 % cloud cover with little or no wind.

On the way home birds will encounter light variable winds with mostly sunny conditions.  Top expected temperature for Victoria is 18 degrees.

Remember production of clocks is within an hour and a half of clocking.

3rd Birchip Liberation

In today’s race from Birchip, 25/08/2012, 1832 WPF birds competing from 58 lofts, and 553 Geelong birds were released at 10am.  Upon release the birds broke into three groups and cleared the race point within five minutes.  Conditions at the race point were clear with 50% cloud cover and a light West to NorthWesterly wind.

On the way home birds will encounter West to NorthWesterly winds that will strengthen to 20-25 Knots later in the day.  Some rain is also expected later in the day.  Top expected temperature for Victoria is 16 deg.

Remember production of clocks is within an hour and a half of clocking.

2nd Birchip Liberation

In today’s race from Birchip, 18/08/2012,   1767  WPF birds and 413 Geelong birds were released at 9.30am.  Upon release birds left the race point within four minutes.  Conditions at the race point were fine and clear with 15 knot SouthWesterly winds.

On the way home, birds will encounter SouthWesterly winds of approximately 20-25 knots, with some rain expected closer to home. The top temperature expected is 15 deg.

Remember production of clocks is within an hour and a half of clocking.

1st Birchip Liberation

Todays race, the 1st Birchip, 11/8/2012.

In todays’ race 1797 W.P.F. birds and 455 Geelong birds were released at 9.30am.  Upon release birds split into two groups, the first of app. 1700 birds left within three minutes, with the remaining app. 500 birds,  leaving after a further five minutes.  Conditions at the race point were clear and sunny with a 10-15 knot Southerly wind.

On the way home birds will encounter Southerly winds of approximately 10-25 k/p/h with an expected temperature of 15 deg,

Today’s Liberation 4/8/2012

3rd Wedderburn Race,  4/8/2012.

In today’s race 1965 W.P.F. Pigeons and 652 Geelong pigeons were released at 10 am.  Upon release, 1200 birds left the race point within three minutes, with the remaining birds leaving approximately five minutes later.

Conditions at the Race Point were clear and sunny, with a light North Westerly wind.

On the way home birds will encounter Westerly winds of app. 20-25 km/p/h tending North Westerly of similiar strengths in the early afternoon.

Maximum temperature is expected to be 15 deg.
